Hells Bells! AC/DC Coming To Rock Band
Harmonix has just announced that classic rockers AC/DC are coming to Rock Band! The AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will contain 18 tracks including some of the bands most famous tunes including Highway to Hell, Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap) and Hells bells. The quote below (from the press release) gives all the pertinent release dates and prices for each region.
The AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will be available in the U.S. on November 2nd on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2 and on November 16th for Wii. Pricing for AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii is $39.88 and $29.88 for the PlayStation 2. The AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will also be available at most major retailers in Europe, Australia and New Zealand in early December on XBox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and Wii. In the UK, AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will be £29.99 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii and £19.99 for the PlayStation 2. In the rest of EU, the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will be €39.99 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii and €29.99 for the PlayStation 2. In Australia, AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will be $49.99 for Xbox 360, PlayStation, Wii and PlayStation 2.
I doubt I will purchase all of these tracks, but I see four or five that will definitely make their way into my game. The tracks are all the original recordings and have been remixed especially for Rock Band. Make the jump to check out the entire list of 18 songs!

So are these live tracks or are they the original songs? The official announcement seems to indicate they are live. But the post here said they are "all original recordings". Does that mean the songs are performed by AC/DC but are live versions and not the original recordings? I'm guessing they must be live which greatly diminishes my interest (some of their best songs listed there were from the original singer who died a long time ago).
You left out the most pertinent information!
That the pack/disc will ONLY be available at Wal-Mart in the US although it will be at major retailers in the international regions.
"For Those About To Rock" may just end up on my list, as well as "Dirty Deeds".
I was really hoping for "Big Balls", though.
I'm pretty sure this is an all or nothing sort of thing - apparently, you can only buy the disc at wal-mart, and import them into your game - so even if you want 5 songs, you'll still have to pay the $40.
These are supposed to be live tracks, but it is from the Live at Donington show which is amazing quality wise, and about 2 hours long.
Check out some of the videos and decide for yourself. Personally I think it is a bit much, but am still really excited.
