Hannah Montana Coming To The 360!

Yeah, I'm being a little facetious with that headline. But there's actually a story behind it, and it's not about a Hannah Montana game. Nope, Microsoft's Gamerscore Blog has reported that Disney and CBS have teamed up with Netflix to bring some of their programs to the video rental outlet's streaming service. Which, in turn, means that when that much-ballyhooed fall update hits for Xbox LIVE, you'll be able to partake of the offerings by streaming them right through your Xbox 360 and onto your television. Well, as long as you're a Netflix member, of course.
This is a good thing, because after the Netflix/Xbox LIVE partnership was announced, I checked my Netflix queue to see what I would be able to stream, and there were barely a handful of movies there. The stuff they offer to stream is often quite old and not exactly mainstream. So any extra content is always welcome. Even if it does include Disney Channel shows like Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place and The Suite Life on Deck. If you're not an eight-year-old girl, you might enjoy CBS' offerings of CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI:NY, NCIS or Numb3rs. And hopefully this is just the beginning of additional content that will continue to be added. I may never leave the house again!
