Even Xbox LIVE Needs A Break Sometimes
It's hard being such a popular online gaming service, you know. So I'm sure you guys won't begrudge Xbox LIVE for taking a little time off, right? Especially since it's getting ready for its big makeover and all that. to that end, Microsoft has announced that to gear up for the "New Xbox Experience" (I guess we should be grateful they didn't spell it "Xbox Xperience"), Xbox LIVE and the Xbox LIVE page on Xbox.com will be down for 24 hours. The downtime will begin on September 29 at 12:01 PST and last until 11:59 PST.
Don't get too excited. Apparently, this is just to put the pieces in place, as there will be no new features when the service resumes. Sorry!
