Behind The Touchdown: The Making Of No More Heroes

It's no secret that No More Heroes and its kooky creator, Suda 51 have at least a few fans here in the GayGamer Castle. What's not to like? The game's got beam-katanas, guns, motorcycles, nasty villains, sassy ladies, and one rather striking piece of cel shaded eye candy for a lead character. While the game didn't fire up the sales charts, it's become a cult hit and raised expectations for Grasshopper Manufacture's next acid trip of interactivity. For those hungry for more pictures of Travis curious about the development process behind the game, the Official Nintendo Magazine [UK] posted a project-spanning interview with some of the key figures from Grasshopper.
Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the article is the gallery of early concept sketches for Travis, Silvia and Shinobu. It's always interesting to see how 3D characters start on paper, but in the case of No More Heroes, it's fascinating to see how much each character design retained their hand drawn appeal.
