Video: Robert Pelloni's Bob's Game Gets Gameplay, Publishers Interested
I don't know how it happened, but I became somewhat of a homebrew activist. At least, I became an activist on this site, but that's all that really matters, right? Homebrew designer and programmer Robert Pelloni had set out to do what many of us that grew up with video games, design the game he had been thinking about since he was a child. He has made some impressive progress, especially considering that he's doing it all without a budget or staff.
He released a video on YouTube a few weeks ago showcasing the game in a very preliminary state, and just recently he has followed up with an updated status for the tentatively titled Bob's Game. Now the game features game play! While his goal was originally to simply get people to play his game (which, honestly, if he ever makes a release is a guarantee), but things are looking a little more optimistic than that for Mr. Pelloni:
Several publishers have expressed interest- I've more than accomplished my original goal. Most importantly to me, however,
I've received an answer to my five-year question.People want to play it. A lot of them.
Good job Robert, and fantastic work. I hope to play your game when you are finished.

I'm looking forward to this game. Mixing an RPG with a point-and-click adventure? Pure genius.
These are the people I respect in the gaming industry, people who chip away and toil in the background.
People like this should sell millions, not worthless studios pushing tons of shovelware and useless peripherals and childish plastic add ons for the Wii.
A reassessment of priorities is what's needed.
Also, this game looks excellent, which obviously helps a great deal, we also have to account for the fact the majority of people are unimaginative.
