Team Fortress 2 Mod: Companion Cube Soccer
Mods are a wonderful thing. They allow someone with a good or fun idea to make a great game even better. But what could make the near-perfectly balanced Team Fortress 2 better (aside from the official updates that Valve keeps pushing out)? Why, the inclusion of everyone's favorite heart-box: the Weighted Companion Cube.
Check out the video to see the Companion Cube insanity, then head over here if you want to get the mod for yourself. I already have The Orange Box for Xbox 360, but this is the last straw: I'm getting Team Fortress 2 for my PC.

This is one of those games that simply doesn't belong on a console, because you miss out on about 90% of the fun. I can't imagine being limited to 16 people per game, only the original official maps, without any of the updates, and having to play it with a controller.
PC is definitely the way to go for FPS in general and this one in particular.
I remember this one. It was a fun mod, indeed. Originally you knocked around a big desk or random physics object. The cube seems like a much more fun idea, though the porting of orange box content from one game to another is questionable legal-wise, it's still a very fun game and the new narrower playing field seems like a much better method of play compared to the huge playing field where snipers could hide in the corners and pick people off.
