Video: Quantum Of Solace
It's a well-documented fact that I'm usually highly suspect of film franchise titles, and to be honest, the main reason I went for this clip was, at first, the prospect of a simulated Daniel Craig. Which was a good call - I'll take any version of Daniel Craig that I can get, and the simulated version looks almost as smoking hot as the real deal.
But then the gameplay of Quantum of Solace, which actually covers both of Craig's Bond movies (since Quantum is the first true sequel in Bond history), caught my eye. And wouldn't you know, it looked really well done - built upon the CoD4 engine and incorporating God of War style finishing moves with a very cinematic approach... I'm finding myself looking forward to the game - although not nearly as much as the movie, of course.

Looks good but it seems...I dunno, wooden. It needs more characteristic touches here and there which I hope they're thoughtful enough to include. Things like facial expressions (Bond should react realistically when being shot at), more fluid and naturalistic animation, and more atmospheric lighting (everything looks too evenly lit).
I've always hated that 'Simon Says' button mashing ever since I encountered it in Indigo Prophecy. Stupid idea. But at least in this one it looks to be much less unforgiving - and distracting - than as featured in The Bourne Conspiracy.
Regardless, let's hope this turns out very well. I've never played a Bond game and this may be my first. Shaken, not stirred, preferably.
