Video: PSP Emulates Dreamcast, Shenmue In Super Slow-Mo

I've got to say, after playing Samba de Amigo, I've got renewed nostalgia for the few Dreamcast games I played. Sadly, I never quite got Shenmue, but I know that many fans adored it - so it's fascinating to see this Dreamcast emu for the PSP, named nullDC.

It's slightly less fascinating to watch the Dreamcast boot animation stretched out in time like slow-mo gone wild, but the program is in the "early stages" of optimization for the PSP. Since there are about 30 minutes of loading that aren't even on the video, that optimization may have quite a way to go.

But the emu community is nothing if not resourceful - it'd be great to see a Dreamcast emulator that moves at a more functional pace. Dreamcast fans, keep an eye out.

Some would say that Shenmue was actually set in "slo-mo gone wild" when it was released. I kid, I kid! Even though the first one wasn't the best paced game around, the Shenmue 2 was fantastic. I really wish that it would magically appear on the 360 backwards compatibility list.

A fully functional DC emu on PSP would be great if only for a portable Rez.
