Sony Gets A Clue: The PSP Store

Jack Tretton and company may not be listening to your wails and pleas for a proper, backwards compatible PlayStation 3, but it appears that someone within the hallowed walls of Sony has realized that PlayStation Portable owners would really like to see their own version of the PlayStation Store.
In an interview with Pocket Gamer, Sony's Director of Hardware Marketing, Jack Koller stated:
"Having a native store on the portable is something we're looking into."
I've always been surprised at Sony's lack of interoperability and their inability to offer concurrent services between the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation 3. For instance, why is it that Sony has continuously tried to drive an online initiative, and yet you can neither view, nor contact your buddy list via the PlayStation Portable?
With any luck, an embedded store of the PlayStation Portable is just the beginning.
