Peter Moore Wants To Bring The Fans Back To E3

My E3 experience is admittedly rather limited. I wasn't around for the halcyon days when the event was more like a collection of circus sideshows rather than a grouping of meeting rooms. However I have been to Tokyo Game Show which is, so I'm told, more like what E3 used to be. One thing for I know for sure is that the experiences were quite different and that the two E3s I've attended were, well... rather sterile in comparison. Former Xbox exec and current EA sports exec Peter Moore thinks he knows the answer to E3s woes: Invite the public back.
"Soulless and lacking an epicentre, the fragmented layout gave no indication whatsoever that we are the fastest growing entertainment medium in the world. While I am not sure I want to revert back to the old days of excess and one-upmanship, I do know that this format isn't working.""We're confident that we can work with the ESA to make this right. There are important meetings ahead that we think will be substantive and be productive in finding the right path forward "
"Let's invite the community. With the right planning, involving our biggest fans in E3 would bring back some of the raw passion the event has lost."
"Whether it's E3, or whether it's in our forums, my belief is bringing in the fans helps us to create better games and bring new ideas to the market."
I'm sure there are loads of fans out there who would be thrilled at this prospect and if nothing else it would certainly bring more money into the ESA's coffers. But, after two years at substandard events, is it too late save E3?

I think it would really help if they took E3 to a diffrent city each year. this way you get ppl who never been but always wanted to go. like me. i know pleanty of ppl who would have loved to attend but just dont have the money or time off from work to travil for it. but who knows, maybe they will try anything to save E3....
I can honestly say its not too late, every gamer I know says that E3 isn't what it used to be but if it was they would go.
To gamers E3 was THE event then they just murdered it if the video game industry press and events aren't about showing people what you got so they can buy it and get excited about it then what is it for?
