E3 '08: Next Prince of Persia Trailer
Ubisoft is not one to forget about their time-honored franchises and so it's no surprise that they have a 'next-gen' sequel of Prince of Persia in the works. One nice thing about the video is the way that cell shading is used on the characters to make them jump out from the background, which is nice change of pace from how 'gritty' and 'life-like' (read brown and washed-out) most other next-gen games seem to be making characters and enviroments. The music that accompanies the trailer is light and yet fits well with the action. I also like that there seems to be a female protagonist following our prince around in this one, which hints at some possible co-op play. I'm sure Ubisoft will have plenty more news about the game for us in the next couple of days. Until then, enjoy the oddly serene video clip.

Wow, if the 2 player co-op rumor is true, then this one will be a really good game! The fighthing sequences looked really nice and dynamic. It reminded me of ICO, but with Yorda on steroids. And the music sounded like Sigur Ros, which I like. Very nice trailer!

Heh, I was wondering if Sigur Ros did that track exclusively for PoP or if they just used it in the trailer. Is it even them?
