E3 '08 - Animal Crossing: City Folk Trailer
As Asterick mentioned yesterday, Animal Crossing: City Folk is making it's way to the Wii and is expected to take your living room (or dungeon, if that's where you keep the Wii) by storm on November 16th, if all goes according to plan. I'm as excited for this game as Asterick, so when I saw that they had posted the E3 trailer, I felt I had to share it and all it's quirky animal goodness with you all. The hair salon is also pretty nifty part of the trailer, where you can change your hair and face to that of one of your Mii's. Looks to be everything Animal Crossing and so much more, so hopefully we can wait until November.

Blah, that looks so typical! I'm the biggest animal crossing fan I know, but it's getting to be the same game over and over again. I wish they would change the aesthetic just a little bit. I see virtually no difference between this game, the one for gamecube, and Wild World.
I have to agree with Steve here. I am a huge Animal Crossing fan and have put more hours into Wild World than probably any other game I own.
That said, I'll have a hard time justifying kicking the boyfriend off the 360 so I can use the TV for a game that looks to be nearly identical to the DS version.
Even the idea of visiting other people's towns is somewhat "meh" in that all the towns are pretty similar, if layed out differently. What I really want are multiple villages to visit (perhaps seasonally? A ski resort in winter? a beach resort in summer? a thriving city in fall? a farm in spring?) where I actually would have NEW experiences.
I was planning on buying this at launch, but without much new content, I may wait. Hopefully we'll discover new surprises as November approaches. I'm hoping for some great connectivity with the DS.
