American McGee's Grimm Launches FREE Today On GameTap
Classic fairy tales are set to get a kick in the ass from American McGee's Grimm. In Grimm you play a nasty little troll (the titular Grimm) who is tired of all the happy endings in fairy tales. Using his "stream of disgusting liquid" (read pee), Grimm travels through the fairy tale landscape turning everything dark and ugly. The first episode, "A Boy Learns What Fear Is" launches today on the GameTap service for free. Subsequent episodes will appear weekly for a small fee or for free if you have a paid GameTap subscription.
I did a hands on with Grimm a few weeks back and it was really a lot of fun. It has a great art style and fun, casual type gameplay that is somewhere between Katamari and De Blob. It's actually quite entertaining to run around making everything dark and creepy. If you are a fan of kooky spooky stuff a la Tim Burton than you will probably thoroughly enjoy Grimm.

Ugh... I have been waiting forever to play this game I can't believe i even signed up for GameTap never thought I would do that, only to find out GameTap doesn't support Windows Vista 64bit. What is that? I called them and they said their programmers are working on getting GameTap to work with Mac OS and then the would get to Windows Vista 64bit.......Ugh. Now i have play Grimm on my crappy laptop...maybe I will just set my desktop up for dual boot....this game better be fun.
... it doesn't work on Vista? argh!
Oh well. I've been wanting more American McGee since I saw 'Alice'. It was an interesting idea but seemed a bit dim in terms of gameplay & graphics... this looks like a lot more fun.
