Movies & TV Coming To PS3

Watch out, Microsoft and iTunes: the PS3 is on your tail. If you've downloaded the 2.30 update for the PS3, you may have had a chance to enjoy DTS HD Master Audio (I watched Juno last night with DTS HD MA, and it kicked butt, honest to blog) - but that may be just the tip of the proverbial A/V iceberg.
With its Blu-ray feature set now more or less complete and its status as the go-to Blu-ray player solidified, it looks like the PS3 is going the way of iTunes and Xbox Live's video marketplace, according to a post on the Playstation blog made yesterday by Senior VP Peter Dille:
Many of you have been hearing rumblings about a video service that will allow you to download full-length TV shows and movies via PLAYSTATION Network for North America. While I don't have any new announcements here for the PlayStation Nation, it's already been confirmed that we'll be offering a video service for PS3 in a way that separates the service from others you've seen or used. Ultimately the goal of the PLAYSTATION Network service will be to break through the overwhelming clutter of digital media to give you the TV, movies, and gaming content you want. More on this very soon...
Crave suggests that Netflix could be an operant in this delightful equation, and given Netflix's recent flirtations with Microsoft, I'd say that somebody is going to end up in bed with La Flix. Hulu, which is free and offers an only lightly ad-supported viewing experience, is another option, and an extremely popular one at that - so I might not be surprised to see Hulu crop up on a console one day, either.

scratch resistant discs,
unlimited upgradable hard drive, will get 120 Gig £40 (vs £75 for 360),
the little noises of PSN Store makes,
changeable themes
and of course great games
OK I'll stop(I'm no fan boy/girl)
Congrats Nintendo, Sony will be next to prove the doubters wrong.
