Echochrome Out Tomorrow
It's an easy week to overlook the PSN store, what with hard-copy games like Let's Yoga GTA IV and Let's Pilates Mario Kart Wii rocking the roadways. But scarcely one week after the release of its demo, Echochrome will be available for purchase for the PS3, says the PlayStation Blog.
For $10 you'll get 56 levels of PS3 action plus 56 "completely different" levels for your PSP - essentially doubling the fun and accounting for what is probably the first simultaneous PS3/PSP combo/download/all-in-one-dealie. Bonus: "Canvas mode" lets you create and share your own Echochrome levels. It's like LittleBigPlanet on a much simpler, monochromatic and symphonic sedative.

Meh? I was really excited about this game when it was first announced, but the demo really put me off. It felt too slow and stiff. After 5 minutes of playing it I was ready to fall asleep. I still love the concept and artwork of the game, but something about the demo just felt like the design was missing something.
One thing that's becoming clearer everyday is just how mistaken and off-the-mark that gaming journos & bloggers can be.. Still poking fun at disruptive, million-selling Wii games but yet fawning and drooling over average, underperforming games (Echocrome) Oh but 'Little Big Planet' lol yeah that's a real promising game and a system seller too... ;-)
As the industry switches away from mostly courting the so-called Hardcore (i.e. online, abusive 12-year-olds) because its a dead end (see: coders recent summing up of the Xbox Live 'experience' as a deterrent to new gamers, also the 'Xbox 360 dead at retail' news items), those who cling to the old and reject the new will be left behind to 'enjoy' Shooter No.1249. Nintendo with their Wii is kicking ass of every system, no matter how 'Hardcore' they may hope to be.
Your juvenile 'We Pilates' and 'We Yoga' comments (seems more like trolling but of course bloggers are NEVER fanboys, oh hell no) show just how insecure your faux-superior stance really is.

Geez, I just intended to let folks who were interested in Echochrome know that it had been announced for release today, especially since it's been such a big week for new releases.
I'm not sure exactly where my massive insecurities crept into a little "FYI" post, but I'm definitely not afraid that Let's Pilates is going to eat my face. I think.
I appreciate the industry rant, but it does seem a trifle...disproportionate. Misplaced rage? Anger management? Take a few deep breaths, friend. :-D

This is an overall gaygamer website that includes all forms of gaming. I don't think the writers of this site go after only the hottest games on the market.

Is this going to be available for purchase inside of GTA4? NO! Well then I guess I won't be playing this for a while then.
