Limited Edition Metal Gear Solid 4 Details

NeoGAF forum member Kagari, a GameStop/EB Games employee, posted on the site's message board with details about the Limited Edition of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which the store just made available for preorder.

The limited edition will retail for $84.99 and include the following:

A Blu-ray containing
2 making of documentaries, and interview with Kojima
4 chapters of the graphic novel
Metal Gear Import Soundtrack CD

Reserves for the limited edition will also get an exlusive Metal Gear Solid 4 artbook at time of purchase.

Although it's not included in the initial post, you can assume that the game will also come in a tin, or some other fancy package to differentiate it from the regular version. Preordering this version should also get you into the Metal Gear Online Beta, although more details on that should be forthcoming. GameStop's website is also advertising that preorders of the regular version of the game will "receive the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots DVD" that will ship with the game. I'd expect this will also apply to the Limited Edition, but I've been wrong before.

For those curious, the soundtrack CD should contain music from Nobuko Toda, a composer from the Metal Gear Acid PSP games, and Harry Gregson-Williams, who's provided music for both Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, as well as Hollywood films The Rock, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Full Body Massage. Super Smash Bros. Brawl owners can get a sneak preview of one track with "MGS4 - Theme of Love - Smash Bros. Brawl Version," which can be heard on the Shadow Moses stage.

$25 over the cost of the regular game is a bit to ask, especially when I know those documentaries will just sit in the case. I tend to get suckered into limited editions, and end up cursing myself when a really good one slips past me, but I'll have to ponder this a bit more.

I was thinking about what the LE would have while I jogged on my lunch break today. Not sure if it's enough to make me drop that much extra on it.

As a series fan, I know this will be worth it, but I must admit that it is a hefty price tag. But, as someone that got screwed out of the MGS3 LE, I know that it'll be worth it. I'd rather drop the cash now than be at the mercy of ebay sellers.
