Video: Indie Hotness - Fez Gameplay Footage
There were a bunch of impressive titles to come out of the IGF linup this past year. World of Goo was really strong, and is being ported to the Wii. One of the other standout titles I noticed was a little game called Fez. From first impressions, it looks vaguely familiar to Cave Story, but upon closer inspection, it's more like Crush for the PSP.
Fez is a platform puzzler that adopts the 2D-3D transitional gameplay of Crush, with a very light feel. Your character controls very smoothly, with impressive jump height and gentle descent. You can even transition dimensions in the middle of a jump for some seriously tricky platforming. More should come out of GDC this year for this title. I hope it does well, I really enjoyed what I played and would love to dive right into the final version.

This looks amazing. Maybe they'll do a console port of it (I can see this on the Wii so easily, as long as they didn't add in useless waggle controls)
This is fantastic. I will pay money for this. I love the pixelly style of Cave Story, and its like Super Paper Mario + 1. Sign me up.
This game looks awesome. I really love these kind of unique and simply fun looking games - like knytt stories.
one thing that makes no sense about gaygamer.net is that it is a site (mainly) about games but they don't even say what platforms the games are for that they post articles about.
Hermy: seems to be a pc-game, since it's under the "pc"-category.
looks tasty, sounds like a game i could enjoy...
