Video: Chronicles Of Spellborn
The world needs another MMO like I need another shot of penicillin in my no-no place. Or so you'd think. But this trailer for The Chronicles of Spellborn sells a good-looking game...kinda. It doesn't look like an MMO and, frankly, I had to double-check to make sure I wasn't spreading disinformation all over your delightful faces.
Since we're being honest, I had no idea this game even existed, which isn't terribly surprising since it doesn't seem to be getting much promotion yet. Crafted by the folk at Spellborn (I'm not sure how I feel about eponymous games and studios...) and tapped for publishing by Frogster Interactive, The Chronicles of Spellborn is all kinds of unknown. The release date of TBA 2008 (JP) doesn't help much either - a PC MMO with only a Japanese target date year? Check out the vid and let us know if this one is worth waiting for or not - did I mention it runs on Unreal Engine 2.5?

full of meh, if you ask me.
hm. i think it's pretty and the combat at the end seems like it might have a nice feel. obviously no one has figured out the mmo formula (i believe WoW got lucky - don't bite my head off), but you just never know if an mmo is gonna be fun until you play it and see if it's fun....or just....kinda not.
