Snake? SNAAAAAKEEEE! MGS4 PS3 has Backwards Compatibility!
Sweet delicious bundle, how I love you. It's been awhile since I've bought a console and it's came with a full retail title. Ever since sony dropped the 80GB model SKU from production, I've been fighting the urge to shake them and demand that they re-release an uber model. And they've done as such, and it's got it's good dress on.
We reported yesterday that Sony will be releasing a new 80GB PS3 bundle, packed with Metal Gear Solid 4, and Dualshock 3 for $499, with the ever so important backward compatibility. The price point seems reasonable, and with the recent demise (with Sony sliently paying off people in the shadows) of HD-DVD, a Blu-Ray player has become that much more appealing.
Has this sold me on a PS3? Not entirely, but I'm much more likely to buy one now that I know that the features I want havn't been completely scrapped.
MGS4 PS3 bundle has everything you need, including backwards compatibility [Destructoid]

Way to go, Sony! It's got two out of the three things I want in a Playstation3... Rumble, Backwards compatibility, and a slim model. Well, I guess I can get over not having a slim.
But, uh, who wants my MGS game?
More importantly...
Where do I get a little model of Snake in "The Orange" box?
"Yes, similar to the Motorstorm bundle, the new MGS4 bundle features an 80GB PS3 with some PS2 backwards compatibility."
I'm glad I bought a 60 when they still existed. Full backwards compatibility, including PS1. It's the only way to fly. If it could do Guitar Hero, it would be perfect.
Yeah, where do you get one of those little snake in box Cardboard models from?
I've got a Japanese PS3 so backwards compatability has never happened because of the region constraints on PS2 games.
Got a rumble controller the other day as well, it's heavier and feels nicer.

The model is a Solid Snake papercraft. Kotaku posted a link to the print outs a while back, so feel free to try and make your own.
