How Not To Gloat To Your Friends: Man Arrested for Video Game Phonecall

This man should earn an award for the most unfortunate arrest ever. There is a right way to call your friends and gloat, and this is certainly not it. Thomas Ballard, age 29, had just made a great feat on an undisclosed Xbox video game. Like most gamers I know, he wanted to brag to his best friend about his accomplishment. After miss-dialing his friend, he said "I have killed them all" into the receiver, to an elderly woman.
This woman found the Mr. Ballard's phone number on her caller id, which she immediately relayed to the authorities. The police arrived and of course found no evidence of foul play in his house or person. The most unfortunate part of this whole story is the man had a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for an unrelated failure to appear in court for cocaine possession charge.
While the man had the end result coming, it is an unfortunate turn of events that ultimately got him busted. I think he will think twice next time he calls a friend, or will at least wait for them to say "Hello".
