Dragon Quest Swords Gets Early Release

I have some good news for those of you looking forward to some Square-Enix sword swinging goodness with the release of Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors for the Wii. The release date has been pushed up from February 26th to February 19th.
When we have all become accustomed to announcements about delays in production for one reason or another, it's great to hear about a game shipping early. Dragon Quest Swords for the Wii looks really promising, offering a greater level of battle interaction than the previous Dragon Quest entries. Here you use the Wiimote to slash your sword at the screen to attack, and hit an alternate button to defend. There is the typical Dragon Quest 4-player party system, but the other characters are mostly controlled by AI, unless you pause the battle and issue commands individually.
The Wii is sorely lacking for some JRPG titles, so this may tide one over until Opoona drops along with the other Squeenix games like Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers.
