Your Political Kung Fu Is Strong, Grasshopper...
With the presidential election looming ever closer on the horizon, it's not terribly surprising to see more and more web parodies featuring possible candidates going up against each other. However, Atom Films, a great website that features short subject films, is now featuring an incredible little game called Kung Fu Election which pits different political candidates going up against each other a la Mortal Kombat.
The game has eight playable characters, four Democrats and four Republicans: Hillary Clinton (sporting razor fans), Rudy Giuliani (claws), Barack Obama (katana), Mike Huckabee (rope and harpoon), John Edwards (nunchucks), Mitt Romney (kama), Bill Richardson (kwan dao), and John McCain (bo staff) are all available for the discerning political gamer. The character design and overall artwork is great to look at and each candidate is a lot of fun to play, though the gameplay itself is hard as hell. Seriously, I've only been able to beat three matches after an hour.
Personally, I've enjoyed playing as Giuliani because of the claws. Also, Obama's a lot of fun to play with, if for no other reason than the fact that he has one of the more entertaining special attacks available to him.
