Video: Final Fantasy Garfield Mashup
It's undeniable that Garfield is one of the most recognizable cats in showbusiness. He has appeared in just about every media imaginable. Starting as a comic strip, he has gone on to star in film, cartoons, video games, toys, stickers, what have you. Chances are if something has held still long enough, Garfield's visage has been emblazoned on it to keep the brand alive. Too bad the shtick dried up ages ago, but the cat lives on.
One intrepid videographer at LasagnaCat has been adapting Garfield comic strips, acting them out live, and adding his own brand of pop-culture humor to the mix. In one video Garfield takes Odie's bone away. When caught red-handed by John, Garfield scratches his back, pure comedic gold. Yeesh! The Final Fantasy parody that ensues, is worth the time to download. The whole scene plays out as an in-game battle, complete with Uematsu score, hilarious menus, and a cameo by Jim Davis himself.
Thanks Dallas for the tip! I never thought I would laugh at Garfield ever again. Once was enough.
