Ulala To Return? 'Oh No No' says Sega

This past week, Tetsuya Mizuguchi fans everywhere begin to dream of revisiting the former Dreamcast cult classic, Space Channel 5, on current console darling, Wii. Unfortunately, IGN UK's Martin Robinson was able to follow up on the N-Zone magazine rumor with a Sega spokesperson and had our hopes dashed upon the equally jagged rocks of heartbreak and disappointment. While the magazine originally reported that Sega was relicensing several Michael Jackson songs, possibly indicating a console port. The Wii seems to be a likely fit for the candy-colored, alien dance off.
While I don't know that I would be convinced to play a full $49.99 MSRP to revisit the quirky goodness, I would pick it up without thinking twice at $29.99. And remember, while Sega indicates that the rumor is just that, it wouldn't be the first time a game had been denied only to receive an official announcement down the line.
Now if I could just find that Ulala wall calendar I splurged on years ago, I could get some great character scans.
