Rock Band Microphone Hints At Wii Version?
Engadget found a report in the ScoreHero forums that the "new and improved" microphone for Rock Band is apparently floating around. The bad news is it will set you back $50. While that is dirt cheap in comparison to real, professional microphones, it's still a lot to pay...at least in my eyes. The new microphone will reportedly be heavier and "definitely" be of a higher quality. Perhaps you folks who play Rock Band can enlighten the rest of us in regards to any potential qualms about the existing microphone?
In related news, some commenters on Engadget have pointed out that the microphone packaging says that it is for the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360? Which one of those things aren't like the other? Well, there has yet to be any official word on a Wii version of Rock Band, but we'll keep our eyes peeled for said word(s) and get it to you as soon as we know anything. In the meantime, are any of you going to be picking up this new microphone?

I think they mean that you can use it for the Wii since it's USB. And they have a Wii game you can use on already ... Boogie.
However, since Rock Band is also for PS2, I don't see why they couldn't make a Wii version. Seems feasible enough.

I think they're holding out for Nintendo to make downloadable-content an option for third-party developers... which it fucking should be, anyway. Every day they hold out is one day closer to me talking my wife into a 360 for Rock Band.
