Patapon Demo Includes Exclusive Weapon

I've been pretty fixated on Patapon since I saw the initial screenshots from the title. It was so over the top cutsy and funny, it could only come from the minds of the team that brought us Loco Roco, which makes perfect sense from the 2D visual style of both titles. It's a completely unique take on rhythm/strategy games, and is being offered for the low low price of $20 for the PSP.
If you preorder Patapon from Gamestop, they are throwing in a demo to play until the game comes out. The progress that you make on the demo is not in vain. When you save your game after the demo and pop in the actual game, you start where the demo ended. Pretty sweet stuff there. Also, you get a special demo-exclusive weapon "The Spear of Protection" that will transfer to the final game.
You better believe I will be leading my adorable Patapons into battle, brandishing their Spear of Protection, how about you?

Hopefully this is the beginning of a new evolution of encouraging gamers to get the demo for small, but useful rewards (as well as keeping your progress position of the end of the demo stored over to the complete game).
I just finished the demo in anticipation of tomorrows release. I am excited to get more out of a demo than before. Great idea to put in play in the future.
