Guinness Book Inaugural Gamer's Edition Gets Release Date
A few weeks ago, Boy of Tomorrow told us about the new gamer's edition of The Guinness Book of World records coming soon. Well now we have a release date and some info. The book will hit the shelves March 11 and will announce new records such as:
- Halo 3 as the Highest Grossing Game In One Day generating $170 million worth of first day sales in the U.S. alone
- Fastest Completion Time For A Game Of Super Mario Bros., an astounding five minutes flat.
- Faiz Chopdat who served the Longest Prison Sentence For Playing A Computer Game after refusing to turn off his Tetris game while aboard an airplane
- Grand Theft Auto III, which holds a record for having the Most Guest Stars in a Video Game, including Samuel Jackson, Ray Liotta and Dennis Hopper.
I'm not really a big Guinness Book aficionado, but this seems like it would be a fun edition to have lying around on the coffee table. You could also just memorize the whole thing so you'll always have fun facts to impress your friends with. Or you could end up just really look like an uber geek.
