Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Coming In April, For $40

gran-turismo5-screenshot.jpg

So there has been a demo out for Gran Turismo Prologue for a little while now, but Prologue itself is merely a lighter version of the eventual release of Gran Turismo 5. So does that make it a demo too? It will have a decent set of features, 60 cars, 5 tracks, and 16 car multiplayer, which is a lot more than most demos, but will users actually shell out forty bucks for what is only a slice of the (eventual) full game?

I find this trend a bit disturbing. Do people who buy Prologue get a discount on the full release of GT5? Will it be released as downloadable content? Are they just supposed to spend $100 total on all this? That's a bit much to ask of PS3 owners, if you ask me, even if the cars are unbelievably pretty.

well, people buy sports games every year for what amount to the same thing - bit more polish.
wouldn't this be the same thing?
personally, i'll take burnout over gt any day, but if you're a hardcore gt nut who doesn't want to wait another year-ish, this isn't a bad deal, especially with all the online and downloadable stuff they're offering.
