Sony Announces 16GB PSP Memory Stick

Make all the porn jokes you want, 16 gigabytes is a lot of space to pack into a MemoryStick - which is just what Sony's managed to do with their new 16GB MemoryStick Pro Duo, scheduled to release in March for around $300.
16GB + PSP + longer battery life = serious media playability. It also catches the PSP up to the iPhone/iPod, memory-wise, which is probably a good thing if the PSP wants to remain (or arguably, become) relevant as a personal media player.
Then again, PSP + $300-for-a-memory-card = quite a lot of money. But I know more than a few hack-friendly PSP owners who'll be happy to have the space - me, I'll hold off unless there's a serious price drop (or a cheaper SanDisk model).

Is it really any wonder why we don't see PSP games sell well at this point? Other than piracy, what would someone do with 16 gigs of space on a PSP?
16 gigs game-boi may not know what to do with 16gigs, but I could certainly fill that fast. I'm getting tired of swapping between 2 4gig cards as is.
Oh wait, I missed the point of other than piracy ^^;
