Video: Pwecious Little Big Planet Trailer From Spike VGA

While Fruit and I were at the glamorous Spike VGA awards show at Mandalay Bay in Vegas, we saw a world premiere video of the upcoming game 2.0 precious-fest Little Big Planet. Where the rest of the show was mostly filled with testosterone-driven explosive titles (besides Mario of course) , it was a welcome change of pace to see the cute little piratey rag dolls gearing up for a high seas adventure aboard their ship.

Some new elements were shown such as the pirate ship, and accompanying costumes. The players use the seamless in-game editor to customize the ship before the departure on a grand slope. While the ship is being worked on, the player calls up the warf backdrop which had never been seen before. There were no new revelations revealed for the title concerning gameplay or the online portion, but this is the first time we had seen anything outside of the backyard motif seen in previous coverage.

I have to admit that this game totally makes me want to buy a PS3. Even though I'm totally anti-Sony. Well perhaps I'll buy one if the PS3 is ever cheap enough that I wouldn't need to sell a kidney to get it.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
