Video Ads Coming To Xbox Live Marketplace?

Xbox 360 owners are only one day away from the eagerly awaited dashboard update. Last Friday, Super Timsy brought you details and highlights of what you can expect and while I'm super excited about many things (DivX support, extended profiles, Xbox Originals), I did notice one tiny detail this morning that I'm going to have to look into. Read on to find out what I saw that concerns me.
As I was reading through update details on the Xbox Team developers' blog, I noticed this:
Ads
- Added support for Audio Mute/Unmute for video ads
Video ads, hmm? While I would like to think they are referring to Video Marketplace previews, I have never seen this verbiage used before. And as positive as I try to be, there is a little pessimistic voice inside my head that whispers, "They're coming," even as I write this. Do you think we will be seeing new streaming video ads along with the update tomorrow? It seems ads are more and more commonplace in gaming these days, but are you ready for ads on your video game console?

It may be a yet to be anounced way to get free content (or maybe even live).
"ads on your video game console"?
Stinking, rotten to the core. What happened to gaming as an escape from that crap (especially adverts)..?
There's already plenty of ads on the Xbox interface, which is part of the reason I much prefer Sony's interface. I have no doubt Microsoft will further clutter up their environment with more crap. No thanks.
And if we're getting ads shoved in our face, why are we paying for the service again? Bah.
