Postal Dev Has Harsh Words For Manhunt 2

vincedesi.jpg

Running With Scissors CEO, Vince Desi, recently spoke with GamesRadar UK about whether or not Manhunt 2's ratings difficulty and previous UK ban would affect the level of violence in their upcoming Postal sequel. In answering, he makes it clear that he was not a fan of Rockstar's efforts.

"Manhunt 2 was a piece of shit that expressed extreme violence in a dramatic fashion. I wouldn't have banned it, but its nothing like Postal."

While I ultimately agree with Desi, his assessment does seem a bit harsh. Manhunt 2 was not a game I cared for or that kept my attention for longer than a week, but is it a big steaming pile? Hindsight is 20/20 and time passes quickly.

This is rather like Uwe Boll complaining to Christophe Gans that Silent Hill wasn't in the spirit of the game. (:

"Pot?" "Yes, kettle?" I think we know where I'm going. Was Manhunt II good? Not in the slightest. Was Postal good? Not in the slightest. Six of one, half dozen of the other, eh?
