Nintendo Australia Grants Christmas Wiish

Well, after hearing about Fruit's holiday gaming disaster, and enjoying an early Christmas gift of stomach flu myself (this is what happens when we leave the castle!), I was pleased to see that there are still some heartwarming Christmas tales out there to be had.

For instance, 11-year-old Australian Taylor Smith suffers from the degenerative muscle disease arthrogryposis, and has limited movement in her arms and legs. She actually has no muscles in her arms, so there are many simple tasks she is simply unable to complete. However, when the girl managed to play Wii Sports with her friends by using hair ties to attach the Wiimote to her arm, her friends' father decided to write Nintendo to see if they could help him find one of the rare and precious consoles for the holiday.

Lo and behold, Santa/Nintendo delivered the Smith's a Wii on Christmas Eve, and the girl could barely contain her glee. "This is the first time she has been able to play electric games with her family," said Watkins, "and it's great to see her smile."

All together now: Awwwwwww!!!
