Jack Thompson's New Mexico Case Gets Tossed

It's been over a year since Jack Thompson filed (yet another) wrongful death suit against Rockstar Games and their parent company Take 2 Interactive in New Mexico. The suit, which alleged that Cody Posey used Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to become a remorseless killer capable of murdering his abusive father, stepmother, and stepsister, was dismissed from court today:
In disposing of the case, Judge Huling ruled that the Court did not have jurisdiction over Take Two and Sony, since neither corporation has offices in New Mexico. Judge Huling also ruled that New Mexico laws did not support Thompson’s wrongful death claim in the case.
The suit was filed last year on behalf of the surviving relatives of Posey's victims, though it was only after Thompson had tried -and failied- to get Posey's lawyer to use the "GTA made me do it" defense. Don't you just love how quickly the wheels of the justice system turn?
