Dr. Kawashima Is Calling

What happens to all successful videogame franchises? They're ultimately ported onto mobile phones, often in somewhat gimped condition. It's like when they used to have the same game on the PS2 and the GBA. You just knew the GBA version would be a weak, 2D side-scrolling adaptation of a 3D console game. But now, Namco Bandai has announced the first mobile phone game I could actually see myself buying. And even playing!
Brain Coach With Dr. Kawashima is coming in December, and is officially approved by the good doctor, who also inspired the hit Brain Training on the Nintendo DS. That game was an addictive cartridge of crack for me, so putting it on my phone, which I always have with me anyway, is a potentially dangerous situation. Then again, maybe it'll be good, because as the press release says, "this mobile phone game has been scientifically tested at a leading university in Japan, and proven to stimulate the brain."
So that's good, right? Now it means that the lump that cell phone is causing in your head isn't a tumor, it's just your brain getting bigger because you're getting so smart!
