Blizzard Has New MMO In The Works
In a forum topic regarding how Blizzard posted an ad for a new 3D character artist for a "Next-Gen MMO", legions of illiterate WoW fans, and about a dozen literate ones, theorized what this job posting could mean. The legions of posters, essentially, argued about whether or not this was for a World of Warcraft expansion or a new game entirely. Finally, a Blizzard community official set the record straight:
No, it is an unannounced Next-Gen MMO.And that doesn't mean an expansion for World of Warcraft either.
I'm a little hopeful about this... even though a lot of theories are currently claiming that this will probably be the much-desired Starcraft MMO, I'd like to see Blizzard either come up with a new franchise entirely or use something out of their older gaming catalog. One of my favorite games to play as a kid was Blackthorne, though I did actually enjoy The Lost Vikings as well.
