Try To Put Baby In The Corner
Really, how great would it be if that was one of the mini-games in the new Dirty Dancing game? You could control a little pixelated Jerry Orbach at the bottom of the screen, trying to force a little animated Jennifer Grey that bounces around and tries to get past you. You know, like Breakout. But with cheesy '60s music in the background. And when you succeed in forcing Baby in the corner, Patrick Swayze would come out and deliver his famous line as he takes her away to do their triumphant dance that shows that love conquers all.
Yeah, that there was probably ten times more interesting than the fact that Dirty Dancing The Videogame has been released. You'll play Baby, and learn to dance through a series of casual mini-games. You'd think a DDR tie in would be a natural, but no. And worse still (or not, depending on your perspective, I guess), it's not even available in stores. Nope, it's download only. Saves on packaging, I guess, and being a casual game, it's only a 66MB download. Sure is an odd way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the movie, but hey, stranger things have sold millions.
Still, maybe there's room for an expansion pack... I should E-mail them my idea...
