The Grand List Of Console RPG Clichés

I grew playing console RPGs starting with the original Final Fantasy on the NES and Dragon Warrior. Since then I bounce from one console RPG to the next. I'm always looking for the next engrossing experience. Currently I've been digging into a healthy Oblivion obsession that has taken me across the land of Tamriel countless times.
After playing so many JRPGs, sometimes I get a distinct feeling of deja-vu when I'm trekking through a new adventure. There are so many familiar themes and clichés seen in the genre, rarely do you come across many new innovative ideas. As a rather loving tribute to these clichés, a group of fans got together to compile the mother of all List of Console RPG Clichés. Currently the list is 192 entries strong.
The intro says it all:
There are few people who love a good console RPG more than I. Games like Final Fantasy, Grandia, and Skies of Arcadia set a standard of majesty and wonder and immersion that American game designers are challenged to match. And yet, as I play the latest masterpiece to come out of Japan I sometimes can't help the feeling that, somehow, I've seen it all before... WARNING! There are spoilers in here for many popular CRPGs. I mean, duh.
There are some hilarious entries, like one of my favorites:
13. The Higher The Hair, The Closer To God (Cloud Rule)
The more outrageous his hairstyle, the more important a male character is to the story.
So head over and check out this amazing list. For the Über nerd, make a checklist and tell us how many you came across in your years of adventuring.

I remember that game in the pic, it's Thousand Arms from PS1! ^^
Takes me back to the days of the GIA.
And it looks like they forgot the "Self-Help Booklet Scene."
