PlayStation Network Portal Coming To IGN

networkportign.jpg

IGN is about to launch a PlayStation Network portal site to post updates to the PS Network with editorial feedback regarding the latest additions. One can only assume that Sony and IGN have partnered up for this venture to provide PSN users a means to stay up to date on releases without having to log into their PS3. IGN has provided a downloadable Widget that tracks content coming through the site.

There is no content posted on the site, where most of the text is in filler Latin. You can see the first two videos that will be available regarding PlayStation Home, and a Hook Up Video that will help familiarize new users with the PlayStation Network.

Could this new site be yet another feature of the upcoming 2.0 PS3 Firmware everyone has been speculating about? With all of the coverage this mysterious upgrade is getting, we can only hope Sony is pulling more than rabbits out of their hat when it drops.
