No Sadness For Wii Until 2009

The much discussed, rarely seen horror game Sadness from Nibris has never had an official release date, but the last time they were asked to narrow it down, the studio mumbled a vague "March 2008" and everyone went back to their normal lives, completely sated. Now comes word via NeoGAF forum member GC|Simon that the game may have slipped a bit beyond. After writing the company, he received what appears to be a form letter from the Polish developer, including the following bit of information:
We are still actively working at our projects (Sadness - Wii - 2009, Double Bloob Q2 2008 and ROTR - DS Q 3 2008) and it will be announced in the gaming press in certain time.
Double Bloob's out next summer! Oh, wait, Sadness has been pushed to 2009. So far Nibris has been tight lipped with just about everything but concept art and promises, and at this point, the lack of information about the game has some people tossing around the v-word. I mean vaporware. What v-word did you think I meant? Perv.

Remember when people used to think this game actually existed? Good times.
Someone once said (although I papaphrase) that a game should be released when it's ready and not before. What's wrong with waiting? The only developer I know that is always set on release schedule is EA, and we know how their games turn out...
If every game that had suffered years of setbacks was truly vaporware, why do we have Resi 4 (so-named because it was being shown for 4 years heheh) or Zelda on GC (shown in 2000, released in '03) and is Too Human automatically vaporware by now (it's been bloody years)?
Maquis, none of those games was done by a first-time indie developer with no publisher in a country not known for its video game greatness.
Well, that's some pretty bitchin' criteria there. Could anybody meet it? :p
Wasn't one of the companies whose games I just named Silicon Knights? They were an upstart young outfit from Canada when they showed off Too Human for Playstation years ago, and they hadn't yet gotten those years of Nintendo tutelage. Yet their out-of-nowhere Eternal Darkness was a genuinely unique game and an unexpectedly gruesome delight to have on any Nintendo system!
Shin'en (have I spelled that right?) are another former-unknown from another land not associated with games (Germany). Still their projects for Nintendo weren't vaporware either.
I think you've jumped the gun by declaring this one vaporware.
In fact, I'm one of the few people who thinks Nibris exists and really intends to put out Sadness someday. I'm just not seeing anything to indicate that they've even reached the coding stage yet.
It was big news when the Wii had just been announced and Nibris and Ubisoft were the only ones not rubbishing it, but now Sadness is just another awesome-sounding game that may never see release.
Also, the criteria I listed were meant to show how unlikely this whole situation is. If it were easy to provide counterexamples, my argument wouldn't be very good, would it? It's not like I specified "...with a 6 letter name beginning with N and ending with S" or something like that.
I'm guessing they're still just blowing smoke around while trying to drum up investment capital. here's hoping they work something out since this game has promise..
