New Bond Game Without Bond?

UK website mi6.co.uk is reporting that several sources indicate that voice-over actor David Houston will be providing the voice of British superspy Bond, James Bond in the upcoming Activision 007 game which is supposedly going to be a blend of Casino Royale and the next Bond film in production. The thing is, Daniel Craig is supposed to still be providing the likeness in-game. So hopefully this guy can do a decent sound-alike job. There's no way of knowing, because according to the imdb, this is only the third job he's ever done.
The site also mentions a second Bond game in development, and in that article, Daniel Craig is quoted as saying that despite being an avid gamer (he likes Halo) he wanted nothing to do with a Casino Royale game.
"When I started signing contracts for Bond, I said, 'I'm not doing the computer game,' and they said, 'Tough, you are.'" he recalls. "I said to the people making the Bond game, 'You've got to make this good, because there is so much rubbish out there.'"
Fair enough. But by having Craig's likeness and not his voice, is Activision already heading down the rubbish trail?
David Houston to provide voice for James Bond in new videogame [MI6]

Hello,
David Houston here. Time will tell whether the game is all that Bond fans hope it will be, and I'll do my very best to make it so; at this stage, the producers seem very happy with my audition, so I hope that counts for something.
It's worth pointing out that other actors (such as Maxwell Caulfield, Adam Blackwood, and Tim Bentinck) have ably and admirably voiced Bond in previous games.
I could hardly blame anyone for viewing my IMDB page and figuring I haven't worked much. One thing to keep in mind regarding freelance voice artists such as myself: we do a ton of narration, commercial VO, and even character voice work that doesn't qualify for an IMDB credit, as isn't strictly film or TV work.
Many thanks for mentioning the game, and I look forward to helping create a terrific Bond gaming experience.
Regards,
David Houston

Umm, so yummy.
oh he's dreamy...=)
Oof.
He can double-oh my seven anytime!
Three words:
But his face.
For serious.
Steven, darling, two words:
Paper bag.
Well, I did the voice for pierce brosnan in the Thomas Crowne Affair trailers... not to mention, Obi Wan in the phantom menace games. So, you may be surprised as to what you hear... Voice Over actors are always a surprise to me... you think that was the voice of anthony daniels in the Star Wars prequels? think again...
SC
Nice body, but the face...
Am I the only person who thinks he's a step down from Pierce Brosnan?
I personally like his look, rugged, manly, someone who can rough you up in bed, and with that body?! Oh-Oh my seven indeed!
Daniel Craig is the hottest Bond ever IMO. VERY sexy.
I love how we have the person we're talking about commenting on this article... And yet all anyone can talk about is Daniel Craig's sexiness.
In all honesty, I really just care about the overall quality of the game. Playing as Craig-Bond would be cool, but the Bond mythos really doesn't rely on the current actor - that just spices it up.
Incidentally, Pierce was super-spy-sexy as well, but for entirely different reasons, I think.
Daniel's pure prime British beef.
