DS TV Tuner Includes Game & Watch Title
I personally have not watched radio broadcast television in since sometime in the 90s. What can I say, I like my cable. This being said the prospect of being able to watch it on my DS wasn't something that had me running to play-asia. Yesterday, the DS TV Tuner was released in Japan, allowing commuters to watch television on their morning treks to work.
Novelty aside, It would probably make a good resource for people wanting to check the weather on the go, or get the caught up with the afternoon news. This is assuming you don't have something like an iPhone or a WiFi hotspot and a web browser near by.
The most depressing part of learning about this product is I was actually somewhat excited when I learned that it features a Game & Watch pack in title. The internal software also includes a the mini-game "Fire", where you rescue people from a burning building via an extremely bouncy trampoline.
Fortunately for me, I already have this game on one of the previous Game & Watch Collection with this title on it. Does it validate the import? Unlikely, I'm not even sure that japan's NTSC over air is the same spectrum as the US. It is however really freaking cool.
