Video: Half Life 2 + Portal Gun = Awesome

What better way to break the mechanics of a game than to place a Portal gun in it? I tell you, none more fun. Some wild hacker/modder managed to put a Portal gun in Half Life 2, and it completely changes the approach to the game. Gone is the need to hug the walls to turn a corner, just shoot some portals around and presto! Instant death. The enemies will never know what hit 'em, because they can't sense your presence through a portal.

Aw man I thought these guys did something creative. The first day I got portal I fired up GCF scape and I was able to import Hl2, Episode 1, and Episode 2 and all their content into portal easily, but for some reason a weird floating cloud thing shows up. When watching the video I was like "omg did they actually port the gun into the other games?" But then i saw the cloudy thing show up and once again I see these guys just basically ran the games through portal, itself. That's good and all but if we could port the gun and all its components into another steam app, IE: Garry's mod, or even HL2:DM there'd be endless possibilities for multi player portal fun.

It's got to be possible. The modders just need to find some way of hijacking portal to set it up to host and join servers if the approach of importing the gun won't work.

And Ian... did you have to set your character model as the Portal girl (name escapes me) instead of Gordon, or did that happen automatically?
