Nintendo Wants You To Bring Your DS To The Museum

NoMa.jpg

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata today revealed to the Wall Street Journal some plans about expanding their gaming empire to further capture the casual market with the DS. He notes there are practical features of the DS that could be useful in various public spaces.

[The] features will be useful in places like train stations, amusement parks or museums and could be accessed wirelessly.

The DS has been no slouch in the sales department, but with this strategic turn it shows that Nintendo is ready to conquer the casual crowd with their portable. Imagine your local museum advertising, 'Bring your Nintendo DS for an interactive tour of our collection.' You could go to a train station, and download a whole layout of the tracks in the palm of your hand. The possibilities are endless.
