Video: Veterans Protest America's Army

The footage above is from the recent Missouri Black Expo, where a number of Iraq War veterans assembled to protest America's Army in a peaceful but attention-gathering manner:

About 90 Iraq war veterans, dressed in black shirts, stood in formation Saturday afternoon in front of military recruiters at America’s Center and shouted their protest message three times: “War is not a game!”

They were referring to the large military simulation game set up by Army recruiters… The group of veterans, known as Iraq Veterans Against the War, were in St. Louis for their annual meeting this weekend when they decided to stage a brief demonstration at the Expo.

Personally, since I still have a number of friends in the armed forces who are stationed overseas, I dislike the concept of America's Army because of how the Department of Defense uses it. Well, that, and I don't think it's a terribly great game, either. But, more importantly, I think these protesters managed to get their message across really well handled themselves with maturity. I just wish they'd showed up a couple of more times during the day to repeat the process.
