Toys R Us Giving Away Pokémon!
Anybody out there still playing Pokémon? Well, if you head over to Toys R Us on Saturday, September 29, between 12 and 3, you can get Manaphy from their download station, and as a bonus, get $5 off any DS game!
Now, I don't have Manaphy, so I don't know if he's worth the trip. I also haven't played my copy of Pokémon Diamond in months, so I'm not sure why Toys R Us is doing this promotion now. I mean, I figure anybody who still cares enough to download this Pokémon should be so dedicated that they've probably already captured one themselves. (Plus, the last time I tried to go to Toys R Us to download anything, it was the free Mario swag for my Animal Crossing house, and they totally weren't doing it when they said they were going to be...)
Anybody interested?

I haven't played it in forever either but there are people who still do and some people just got the game recently. A free rare pokemon and $5 off a ds game sounds good to me....getting up on saturday is the prob. :D
i am, thanks for the info, it's much easier than trying to breed one.
Might have to see about this, could probably be a lot easier then having to use Ranger to get the Pokemon.
Oh, well, if it's that hard to get one, then this makes total sense. And if I was still playing this, I'd totally think about it.
I rarely play Pearl anymore, but I still kinda want to get this thing.
Now I just have to find some kid to go into TRU with my game and get it for me. :P
I work for TRU and to answer your question as to why we're doing it, it's b/c it's "Geoffrey's birthday." Last year we gave out special Mews in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/etc/etc/etc. blah. Anywho, this particular Manaphy is different from the Ranger version. It has a Red Scarf and is in a Cherish ball. And on top of that, Nintendo has made it to where this Manaphy cannot be uploaded to the GTS in the game and it will only allow 1 Manaphy to be sent to your game, so you can't get extras to trade with.
I've actually been planning this out for the past month, and to top it off, afterwards, I'm going directly to a Pokémon tournament after I pick up the Manaphy.
I still play it, and I am gonna be there.
