Imagine The Ceremony: Man Proposes in Viva Pinata

foxlove.jpg

The things people do online never ceases to amaze me. As the victim of an impromptu break up over AOL Instant Messenger about 6 years ago I too have fallen victim of how the ever blurring lines between the internet and ones personal life. Everyone has heard of MMO marriages but this guy has taken it a step further.

A man going by the name PINATAcast proposed to his girlfriend last night with the aid of a virtual diamond sent via Xbox live, across the room, in a Viva Pinata crate. After what the recipient thought was a joke, PINATAcast got on one knee and actually cracked out the real thing. Here is an excerpt from the groom's announcement to Pinata Island forums, Just proposed to my girl, the VP way!:

Well, i decided to propose to her this evening, so i sent the only diamond my digger has ever found, with a note attached asking her to marry me. When she got it (Across the room on the other TV) she giggled and said i was silly. Then i pulled out the real deal, got on a knee and started getting cried upon. She said yes, so next spring we are getting married! Just wanted to shared.

He also included a few screen captures of the wedding proposal, which I've included here. I'm just glad the guy actually got on one knee. I'm not one to question someone else's methods but who wants to be the lucky girl with a virtual ring.
