Home Moves Farther Away

Matt Martin of GamesIndustry.biz sat down with Jamie MacDonald, the vice president of Sony's Worldwide Studios, to discuss the challenges in developing Home. Sony previously stated that Home would be launching in October, but MacDonald refutes the claim, saying that Home will be holding another Beta test in October for a couple of months.
An open beta will be a wider audience but it won't be open to everybody. We haven't worked out the exact way of doing it but it will be invites to people to ask if they want to be part of it, and then depending on what the response is, we'll have to have some way of deciding who can and who can't take part.
This online experience is going to be picked apart and heavily scrutinized when it is finally released. Home is essentially Sony's answer to the Xbox Live experience. Smooth and quick navigation will be key in making Home work for their customers. If the interface is not responsive enough to players needs, the experience could come off as a clunky nuisance that could have been better served with a menu instead of a 3D environment. Personally, I just want to decorate my Home.
Home's October Launch To Be Another Non-Public Beta [Aeropause]

Oh, just bloody release it already, for Christ's sake.
So...what's coming out for the PS3 this holiday season again?
Yes, I agree about the decorating in HOME. Animal Crossing on the GC was super-fun for that reason too,
Someday, I'll be able to change my line from "I liked Second Life better when it was Alphaworld" to "I liked Home better when it was Second Life."
But apparently not for a while yet.
I still laugh at that logo of a house with a trap door.
