More Details On Cooking Mama Sequel

For some reason, every time I even think of a pink DS Lite, I think of the Cooking Mama franchise. Maybe it's the sexist in me, but when I think of a pale pink gaming option, I think of cooking and aprons--not shooting aliens and zombies. And that's not necessarily a bad thing! Cooking Mama was one of the most addictive and surprisingly popular DS titles to come out for the system, and made great use of the stylus, even if knives were only used to julienne carrots and not being thrown into foreheads.
No surprise then, that Majesco is releasing a media blitz for it's DS sequel: Cooking Mama 2 in Japan (oddly enough, it will be called Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends in the states). Famitsu has posted a collection of screenshots showing Mama baking an apple pie (one can also see the recipe option of cherry pie, pancakes, and some sort of drink that looks like it could be iced tea) and picking her judge. If you've played the Wii version, you'll notice some similar faces there.
The game will be released on November 15th in Japan--it's a long shot, but maybe we'll get it by the end of the year? I would do anything to spend my New Year's Eve braising some pork tenderloin. With my Pokemon Palkia stylus. When did I become this nerdy?
