It's BioShock Banner Time On GayGamer!

biobanannounce.jpg

After having played through the BioShock demo more times than I can say aloud without utter embarrassment, I wanted to find a way to express our/my excitement about the game aside from more drooling fanboyish posts. So, I decided to take a page from our good brothers at GoNintendo and have a little fun with our banner in anticipation of the game's release and added a countdown for good measure.

I hope you all like it and if this one gets a favorable reaction, I may start doing more of these for various games coming up that we love. I will say though that this was of my own creation and decision and 2K had nothing to do with the making of this banner other than creating a truly awesome game for us all to experience. I just wanted to show my appreciation to ken Levine and his crew the best way I could... with my art. Enjoy!

Just as a heads up, Bioshock has had it's street date broken by Toys R Us. The story is on Joystiq.com. There are numerous anecdotal stories about people getting their copies as of today from Toys R Us, who are apparently selling the game at their brick and mortar stores. In addition, if you buy Madden 2008 you get 50% off Bioshock (if you wanted Madded)

Très swanky banner, GayGamer! It would be fabulous to see more of the same in the future (in moderation, and within reason, of course!).

That's an awesome banner. You guys should really be charging for that kind of advertisement. Maybe you could negotiate deals to help pay for the site and maybe even get yourselves some extra cash?

I'm far more interested in Soul Nomad and the World Eaters, when I saw it, I knew that FB must have been behind it. I think it's wonderful. And it's nice to see the change.

Pointed my browser to gaygamer.net just a few moments ago and was greeted with the new banner and I have to say ... me likey! That was a nice surprise! Yes, it would be cool to see you do this with other highly anticipated games in the future; but like QueerOtter said "in moderation". ^_^

The banner looks great! It could be even a little larger, IMO.

Great work on the banner FB. Definitely like the idea of having one for every greatly anticipated game!

The link on the word(s) "gaygamer.net" is still set to fit over the old banner. The new one's a bit bigger. ;)
